A throwback to this journal page I love so much. The quote says: 'What if I fall, oh darling what if you fly'? By Erin Hanson. Oh but my darling, What if you fly?" - It's one of my favourite quotes about taking risks, trusting life and the process and the idea that there is an unconditionally loving force behind you, gently encouraging you to grow, try new things and be your full authentic self without fear.

Last year, I made an expressive watercolour painting of an owl for Watercolour Wildlife and later last year, I made another cool owl for Woman Unleashed. I’ve been wanting to make a series of owls ever since. Here is the 3rd in a series! 😊 I’ll be making a few more! 😍😍😍 They are some of my most favourite animals.

Soooo, my next class will be learning how to paint

Soooo, my next class will be learning how to paint "expressive soul portraits" (omg so excited about this!) and currently editing the videos and LOVED this shot of one of the portraits mid-way. What I love about this way of working is that you can get all your raw emotions out and just make crazy messes to help facilitate all of the stuff that is going on for you and then you come out of the process refreshed and renewed and sometimes (not always) with an emotive, beautiful outcome, too! 😊 Check out all the layers and textures in this. Think at this point, it's about 30% into the painting process. It goes through a lot more transformation before it's finished.

Happy Valentine's Day frens! On Valentine's Day each year, I like to remind people to focus a bit more on 'loving one-self'.

Many of us extend kindness, care, and love to those around us, yet often we fail to offer ourselves the same level of love & compassion. This Valentine's Day, I'm reaching out to my incredible creative circle—including you, and yes, YOU! 😊 —to encourage a deeper connection with yourself. It's a gentle reminder to prioritise self-care, self-love, and self-appreciation. You are worth it you know? All that love you give to others! ♥️♥️♥️

Neglecting to treat ourselves with gentle kindness, compassion, empathy, and understanding can detrimentally affect our mental health, self-esteem, and overall wellbeing. While self-love and self-care might seem superfluous at times, they are essential practices that significantly benefit our mental and general health.
You might be wondering, "What does self-love entail?"

The concept is broad and highly personal. Depending on your life experiences, self-love can manifest in various forms—be it engaging in deep trauma work with a therapist, establishing firm boundaries, carving out time for enjoyable activities, creating self-gratitude lists, enjoying a relaxing bath or simply buying yourself the flowers, chocolate and cake! 💖 💐🍫

The key is to treat yourself like
you treat someone else you love deeply. ♥️
